STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE

  1. The hirer will, during the period of hire, be responsible for the premises, the fabric of the building, the outdoor space around the building, the contents and the behaviour of all the persons using the premises, including the supervision of responsible car parking.
  2. The hirer will use the premises for the purpose stated when hired. The premises may not be sub-hired or used for any unlawful purpose.
  3. The hirer shall be responsible for obtaining such licenses as may be needed for their event, e.g. alcohol or performing rights.
  4. The hirer shall comply with all the conditions and regulations made in respect of these premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, Licensing bodies and Health and Safety Executive.
  5. The hirer will report any damage done to the premises or its contents during their period of hire and may be responsible for repair costs, at the Hall Management Committees discretion.
  6. The hirer will pay for their booking at least 4 weeks prior to the event.
  7. At the end of an event, the hirer will leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition, returning any equipment used to its correct storage place, removing all rubbish and recycling and ensuring lights and heating are switched off before locking and securing the premises and returning the key.
  8. The hirer will take responsibility for the visitors to their event being considerate to the local residents, ensuring music ceases by 23:30 hrs and events finish as soon thereafter as possible.
  9. The Hall Management Committee reserve the right to cancel an event should it be strictly necessary e.g. for elections. Refunds will be issued.
  10. The hirer must record any accidents that happen during their event in the incident book in the kitchen and let the Hall Management Committee know that they have done so.
  11. The Hall Management Committee cannot accept responsibility for any damage to or loss of private possessions, including cars parked locally.
  12. The hirer must read the Hall Risk Assessment and sign to say they have done so, as well as acknowledging that they have read and understood the Standard Conditions of Hiring.
